Fuzzy Friends is an animal shelter where Brandon Roberts volunteers at, first shown in Tales From a Not-So-Graceful Ice Princess and then mentioned in Tales From a Not-So-Smart Miss Know-It-All, Tales From A Not-So-Happy Heartbreaker, Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Perfect Pet Sitter, and The Misadventures of Max Crumbly. Nikki has also visited many times to help out. Fuzzy Friends is owned by Brandon's grandparents, Phil and Betty Smith.
In book 4, Fuzzy Friends was on the brink of shutting down. This was because co-owner, Phil Smith, has fallen off a ladder and broken his leg. If it had shut down, this would've meant that Brandon and his grandparents would have to move to Florida possibly meaning Nikki would never seen him again. When Nikki needed a sponsor for the Ice Skating show, she was in luck. She signs up Fuzzy Friends to be the skating group's charity. Thankfully, Nikki was able to raise $10,000 to keep the shelter alive and Brandon in Westchester by entering in the Charity on Ice where Nikki and her friends Chloe and Zoey act as clowns on account of thier costume being stolen or rather yet misplaced. Mackenzie ended up locking Chloe, Zoey, and Nikki in a storage locker but they managed to talk to Brianna and coax her to inform Brandon of their mishap on Zoey's nearly dead cell phone. He was able to get them out on time for the program. In book 10, 8 dogs were left by the door, but they couldn't keep them because they reached maximum animal capacity, so Nikki, Chloe, Zoey, and Brandon decided to keep the dogs at their house for a day.
